Day 3 - Palmerston North

This morning we got up early and got in the car to drive to Palmerston North. We got there just in time for church. After church we went back to Pastor Roger's place for lunch. Our adventure for today was to go see the wind farm. We went for a drive up into the hills and saw lots of wind turbines up nice and close and also saw some nice views.

  We went to the lookout and we were right up at the bottom of one of the windmills. It was scary! Imagine if that fell on you! It was really windy up there, which was just as well because wind is what makes them go. Each one generates enough electricity for about 900 average homes - and there's 55 in the farm.

We took the scenic route home which went via the Manawatu Gorge. We went down to the river for a look, and saw a cool bridge.

After that we went back to Pastor Roger's place for a roast dinner and a movie before bed.
